Sovereign Hill was awesome. I loved every second of the three days we were there. The school program was so much fun and I learnt so much about how children would have gone to school in the 1850s. My favourite bit about the school program was wearing the costumes and using the ink to write. I also loved when Father Downing came in and started making everyone laugh.

All the shops on the main road were also amazing. I think it was the one time I was actually excited about looking in the shops. The lollie shop was definitely my favourite because we got free samples and they were so yummy. I also liked the candle making store because it looked really cool when you dipped your candle in the colours and then as soon as you put it in the water it was dry.

The bowling centre was AMAZING. The most pins I got in one bowl was five. I found it so heavy and hard to throw the ball on the the course. It was a lot of fun watching everybody else do it though. Some of the emotions I felt were surprised because there was a lot more lollies then I thought there was and I also felt nervous when Father Downing was coming in even though he was pretty funny.

Something I learnt while I was at the school program was how to gold pan. I thought it would have been so much more complicated but it was easy once you got the hang of it and I found some for the class set. Something else I learnt was how to write in copperplate. I thought it was really fun!

How did you find Sovereign Hill?
